Simon Zapata
Professional Photographer.

Graduated from the Photography & Design Faculty at Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

Over the last years, I’ve had the opportunity to exhibit my work at multiple exhibitions; throughout my native country Colombia, The Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Space for Content of Media & Art Co. in Seul, South Korea and most recently the Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.

Early as a kid, I developed a passion for photography, from traveling around, observing unique locations, and interacting with their local cultures. Observing locals led to an appreciation for lightning and eventually discovering Portrait Photography.

My work is mainly focused on portrait photography for Editorial Work, Documentary Series, and still images for Architecture and Design.

Finally, some of my personal passions are working with analog photography, monochromatic and black & White imagery, and tacos, lots of tacos.

I currently reside in Bogota, Colombia.
